My Personal dog Maggie, at the age of 13 weeks, training off lead with an e-collar, She is engaged and enjoying her session because my communication to her is clear and accurate, training without vocal communication teaches a dog to engage and work out how to get the reward.

Great Use Cases!

  • Livestock Chasing or Prey Drive

  • High Distraction Recall

  • Reactivity to Dogs and People

  • Human or Dog to Dog Aggression

  • Barking and Neurotic behaviours

  • Resource Guarding

Let’s Clear up some myths!

What is an E-Collar

A modern E-Collar is a remote device which allows you to communicate with your dog at distance. Used properly this is the most stress free and effective way of having safety whilst your dog is off lead. It has two parts, a transmitter and a receiver, the receiver fits onto the dog’s collar and is able to produce vibration, tone or electrical stimulations. The transmitter is controlled by you (The remote)

Does the Collar “Shock” my Dog

Most definitely NOT! - an electric shock is defined as electrical current passing through your body to earth. An Ecollar works by passing a small current between two electrodes about 1 inch apart, this simply causes the nerves to flutter creating a muscle reaction similar to a twinging nerve. Now the collars use the same technology as a TENS machine, we use these on humans in pregnancy for pain relief and we certainly wouldn’t “Zap” a mother giving birth would we?

Why is the Collar so effective?

Its use is effective because the communication you are giving to your dog is internal (IE inside the body, therefore it cannot be ignored.). Also it is as effective two feet away from you as it is one mile away, this allows us to give a dog way more freedom yet still be in control, this in turn creates less frustration in the dog.

How do I use the Collar?

We cover everything in the session in full detail, it’s imperative that you work with an e-collar expert and not just buy a collar and self teach! But in essence we will pair different functions on the collar with a desired behaviour, for example we might use the “Tone” for an immediate recall, we might use the “Vibrate” for a wait command, we may use the “Stimulation” for times of distraction such as being around livestock or other dogs.

Will the Collar work with my Dog?

In Short YES, PROVIDED THAT YOU FOLLOW THE GUIDANCE. E-Collar sessions are simply the most effective way to advance your handling skills and cut out months of traditional conditioning, it’s not a magic trick, I mean your dog needs to at least know the commands before using the collar, but we cover all this during the first session.

E-Collar Program

  • Session 1 - 1 Hour Zoom Call - £125

During this session, we discuss the use of the collar in detail. We will go over your dogs, current commands and obedience levels and plan out your goals and objectives for the live session. This call is key to success because we ensure everything is clear before moving on and discuss any work that you need to do with your dog before the live session can commence. This part is designing your dream dog.

  • Session 2 - 3 Hour Home Visit - £575

I will visit you at your home and meet your dog. We will look at current obedience levels and then introduce your dog to the collar. Together we will find the correct working levels for your dog and dive straight into the training. Everything is real world and done in your local environment, not in a sterile training centre.

  • Session 3 - 1 Hour Zoom Call - Free

In addition to your three months of personal support this dedicated follow-up call will allow us to directly address your progress and go over some video footage of both before and after use. The call will allow us to tweak anything required within the training program and answer any questions that have risen since starting to use the collar..

  • 90 days of Support - Free

Starting after your home visit you will have access to 90 days of one-to-one support directly with me. We can engage via telephone calls or video calls or messaging to provide you with any ongoing support that you need to ensure you gain the maximum benefit from our program.
